EXPLANATION / SYSTEM BOUNDARY

How the repositories fit together

Unearth separates the public website from the application runtime. The application repository is designed to run with bundled or managed PostgreSQL and Redis, without binding its core services to one cloud provider.

PRIVATE SITE REPOSITORY

unearth.chat

The marketing Next.js app owns unearth.chat. This documentation Next.js app owns docs.unearth.chat.

APPLICATION REPOSITORY

unearth-chat-app

The platform Next.js app owns platform.unearth.chat. Fastify serves api.unearth.chat. Workers, PostgreSQL migrations, and deployment configuration live alongside them.

Runtime services

The API and worker share PostgreSQL and Redis. Docker Compose can create either service locally, or the installation can connect to managed endpoints. The platform uses a private API URL for server requests and a same-origin proxy for browser auth and onboarding requests.

Migration boundary

The old product stack remains in the private checkout until its research routes, ingestion pipeline, artifacts, and operations are verified in the application repository. The new application currently includes onboarding work only; automated ingestion remains disabled.
